Jerry Lee Coker

Jerry Lee Coker, 75, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at AHC of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, January 16, 1949, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late N. C. "Poley" Coker and the late Annie Ketchum Coker. Mr. Coker was a retired car salesman and carpenter.

Cremation services for Mr. Coker are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Graveside services for Mr. Coker will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Rehoboth Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Philip Coker (Tammy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, two daughters, Marcia King of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Lisa Tyus (Shaun) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Charles Coker of Gleason, Tennessee; two sisters, Alice Teague (Jim) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Pat Holt (Terry) of Garland, Texas; five grandchildren, Matt Coker (Micky), Anna Brooke Gates (Daniel), Nicholaus King,  Rachel Tyus and Natalie Tyus and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Coker and Bill Coker and five sisters, Sue Smith, Dorothy Navin, Jennie Tucker, Myra Jean Horner, and Peggy Peevyhouse.
